Seth (@SethMerenbloom) and Bird (@Autull) dove into all things Auburn this week. Softball coach Clint Myers is the focus of an investigation, AL.com is using disparaging clickbait titles against Auburn, and we wrap up the show with our SEC picks.
Former Auburn softball players are alleging abuse, sexual harassment, and the covering up of those allegations. The process needs to take its course and if the allegations are proven to be true, all guilty parties need to be held accountable. The story within the story is the belief that media members close to the Auburn program engaged in an orchestrated cover up.
Clickbait titles can work to your advantage. But it needs to be responsible clickbait. After having numerous conversations on and off-air with Bird, it’s clear that AL.com is anything but impartial when it comes to Auburn. This bias was on full display in how the media outlet chose to title its article about Baylor transfer quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
